Libby enjoying the morning sun
In the early morning I sit outside, have my coffee and watch the dogs, birds and squirrels. Sometimes I bring out my smaller carry around camera – Canon Powershot G9 to catch some fun shots. Today I had my Canon 5d. Libby makes it very easy to take photos of her and I thought she looked quite nice laying in the sun watching the activities on the road.
Lily, a Ganaraskan Dog
This is Lily, a very sweet Ganaraskan Dog. The breed originated along the Ganaraska River, near Port Hope and Copbourg, Ontario, about an hour east of Toronto. The breed was originally designed to be the ideal therapy dog, in that these dogs are very intelligent, obedient, sweet, friendly, and they are non-shedding. Originally the breed was composed of a cross between four other, recognized breeds: Miniature Schnauzer, English Cocker, Bichon Frise and Poodle.
Lexi
Lexi, is another Ganaraskan Dog, older than Lily. She was used for breeding and didn’t get much chance to socialize with other dogs – thus the wary look at me wondering why I was following her around! She likes to stay in the background and watch.
Zeus
And yes…Zeus is also a Ganaraskan Dog. He is like the Master and Commander of the pack. He likes to watch over and make sure everything is running smoothly.
Coco
Here we have Coco again – puppy’s are so full of curiosity. She can’t quite figure out why a flower is growing out of a bucket. They all reside in Belleville, Ontario.

Coco – the nicknames I could think of; Coco Butter, Coco Nut, Coco Bean – I could go on. How cute is she? A sneak peak of more to come. It’s not very hard to take so many photos of this cute button of a puppy.
Stella was my perfect dog. She lived a wonderful life and made it so for everyone around her. There is an emptiness that can’t be filled by any other. She will be missed by her two companions – Max and Libby and the rest of the family. ~ Belleville, Ontario
Spring has finally sprung in Belleville, Ontario! And for more than one day. Miss Libby, my Shih Tzu, Beagle cross is enjoying some rays and wind through her hair.
